Hi. This is me and my hair as of this very day. I did not have the best day, let alone hair day and I have on no make up. This picture is to show you a real "before" and that contrary to all the pictures to follow, I don't actually live in a sunny glow of yellowness. My mother will also be pretty happy with a 5 minute ago chin scar picture update. Thanks Mr. Plastic Surgeon!
So my natural curly hair has grown in about 4 inches since the straight perm (Manetamer). It all looks relatively straight today because I had it pulled back all day, but with a diffuser I can also make the entire thing massively curly again.
This is the longest I have gotten my hair in many many years. And I am wearing it pulled back 98% of the time. BORING. Plus after looking at these pictures I'm pretty sure I have a massive forehead... but the last time I tried bangs as a teen it didn't go so well. Lots to figure out.
So I know that they say if you wear your hair back all the time, you should cut it shorter. BUT. BUT. BUT. My hair either needs to be short enough to not be on my neck at all OR long enough to pull back while exercising. Oh what to do? I just spent a hilarious longer-than-I'd-like-to-admit stretch of time trying on "celebrity hairstyles" at instyle.com. I also learned how to quickly save an image as a pdf to iphoto... I love my mac. So below you will find 10 pictures (6 somewhat realistic, 1 that I actually like but don't think my hair can do and then 3 for jokes) all for your enjoyment. Please vote in the poll at right and help me decide. I have a hair appointment after Christmas. First one in... 4 months? 3 months? 6 months? NO IDEA. On some of these I did change the color to as close to my natural as I could get it. Some of them I didn't. But I am NOT planning on drastically changing my hair color.

I think you look great...& I am guilty of the straight perm too...& I pull my hair back way too much ...I am partial to longer hair b/c if I am in a hurry I do have the option of pulling it back..whereas with short hair its almost always got to be fixed & throwing a hat on over shirt styled hair can be a huge disaster...that being said,
I like the first two pics...& I wish you luck with finding the perfect hair style.
